2007 - ongoing
TB+A have been working with Marks & Spencer since July 2007 during which time we have contributed significantly to the success of specific workstreams including Sustainable Learning Stores, Remodel and Modernisation Programmes as well as the most recent Food Hall and Simply Food expansion programme.
Our commission with M&S includes the delivery of full M&E engineering design services, retail environment lighting design delivered through our specialist Architectural lighting team as well as advanced security design from our IT+Security team.
Recent store openings include:
- The new 60,000sq.ft store at Glasgow Fort Retail Park
- The new 100,000sq.ft store at Stoke Wolstanton
- The new Food Hall stores at Penrith, St Andrews, Doncaster, Ayr and Matlock
Our work also includes major store redevelopments and footage increase, for example the major out-of-town site at Warrington Gemini where the footage was increased by a 20,000sq.ft first floor extension while the store continued to trade throughout.
Working for M&S requires a commitment to “stretch-thinking” and also a commitment to delivering the objectives of their comprehensive environmental policy known as “Plan-A”.
Over the period of working with M&S we have delivered carbon saving low energy initiatives including new concept lighting solutions and an award winning natural refrigerant cooling plant.
Our appointment to the Marks & Spencer framework includes the delivery of the following design services:
- M&E Services Design
- Retail Environment Lighting Design
- Advanced Security solutions
- TM44 AC Inspections
